Quarterly Performance Report

The Quarterly Performance Report gives an overview of the progress we are making toward our strategic aims.

Our quarterly reports offer an update of our performance against our strategic intentions and aims.

We publish reports for quarters 1 to 3 of each financial year. We provide information for quarter 4 in our annual report.

Our reports set out the services we provide, how we intend to provide them, and how we will know we have made a difference for tamariki and whānau

Our latest report

Our latest available report is for the second quarter for the financial year 2025 to 2026. It describes progress we made from 1 October to 31 December 2025 against 4 key performance areas:

  1. Ministerial priority measures - This describes the progress we have made against these and the government's priorities.

  2. Hine Wawata measures – We look at the measures that review our outcomes. To do this we use a set framework, and also explore our progress towards our strategic aims.

  3. Appropriation measures - This examines how our funded functions and actions are performing.

  4. Financial performance - To explore this area we review how we are tracking in terms of what we are spending and what has been expected for our budget.

Our review framework: Hine Wawata

Our reports include measures based on our latest outcomes and performance frameworks - collectively known as Hine Wawata.

Hine Wawata are 2 frameworks we have created with the Youth Advisory Group. They are interconnected, and centre on the aspirations of tamariki and rangatahi.

The measures for our outcomes are:

  • empowered whānau
  • confident children
  • thriving communities.

Performance measures review if our:

  • practice protects those we serve
  • partnerships deliver the right supports and services
  • system prevents harm.
