Refreshed Practice Centre now live
Published: May 31, 2019
We've launched our refreshed Practice Centre - an online resource for practitioners to support work with tamariki and whānau.
The Practice Centre is a resource for Oranga Tamariki practitioners and is also used by our partner organisations and the public, including parents, family/whānau and caregivers. It acts as a repository for the policy, guidance and other information which support our work with tamariki, their whānau and those who support them.
A new site for a better experience
The Practice Centre has been redesigned to make information easier to find and understand. The site is also mobile friendly and has improved search function.
“Content on the new site is clear and easy to read,” says Chief Social Worker and Deputy Chief Executive Professional Practice, Grant Bennett. “This is a critical tool in supporting staff to have the information they need when they are working with our tamariki, whānau and communities.”
Continuing to improve
Listening to feedback and continuous improvement is also a key feature of the refreshed site. This is particularly true as we work to embrace new legislative changes from 1 July.
Over the coming months we will be introducing new ways of working with our tamariki, whānau and communities. During this time, you can expect to see new content being added to the Practice Centre.
Keeping up to date
To keep up to date with what’s changing visit our ‘what we’re working on' section. This is in early part of our journey towards fully realising the aspiration of the new legislation through the services we deliver and we will continue to evolve this content over time.
“We've also introduced a feedback function on each page so we can continue to improve the content based on feedback we receive” says Grant.
To tell us what you think of the new site by using the quick feedback option at the bottom of each page.
